The Founders
Kim Michael
Kim is deeply immersed in the world of spirits including as co-host of The Spirited Enthusiast podcast, an active member of multiple spirits organizations, cocktail creator, and a Florida Rum Society ambassador.
Kim’s relationship with spirits begins long before the bottle is opened. Her respect starts with the people who make them — the distillers, farmers, blenders, and families whose knowledge is carried through generations. She has spent several years traveling, visiting distilleries, tasting at the source, and learning directly from the hands that shape each spirit. She doesn’t just know what tastes good — she knows why it tastes that way and can't wait to help you explore this exciting world.
Jay Cocorullo
Jay is the Founder and President of the Florida Rum Society, one of the largest spirits communities in the U.S., with over 2,800 members and more than 25,000 followers on Instagram. Jay has spent years making spirits feel approachable rather than intimidating and welcomes people in, rather than calling them out. He knows that confidence grows fastest when people feel safe to ask questions.
Through Jay's wealth of experience in spirits education, events, and community building - paired with a background in branding and storytelling - he makes spirits more approachable without sacrificing depth or quality.
Together, Kim and Jay offer guidance without ego and taste without tension — so upgrading your bar feels exciting, not intimidating.
They created Curated Spirits Co. to offer something they felt was missing: personalized, high-touch guidance for people who want to enjoy spirits better — without the noise.
